STX.eco
Designed and built voting portal for Stacks Nakamoto upgrade. Created accessible interface guiding community through governance process and voting timelines.
The Mission
The Stacks Nakamoto upgrade was a historic moment for the community. I was tasked with designing and building the official voting portal—a high-stakes interface that needed to guide users through the governance process with absolute clarity and transparency.
Designing for Democracy
When dealing with blockchain governance, the UI is more than just decoration—it is the primary tool for democratic participation. I focused on building a "Zero-Friction" experience that made voting accessible to every STX holder.
Key Technical Strategies:
- Narrative Onboarding: Built a sequenced interface that clearly explained the voting timelines, requirements, and FAQs before leading the user to the action.
- Robust Implementation: Developed the site from scratch using Next.js, ensuring that it was highly performant and accessible across all devices during the critical voting window.
- Trust-Centered UI: Leveraged a clean, authoritative visual language that signaled the official nature of the portal, fostering community confidence in the upgrade process.
The Outcome
The STX.eco portal became the central hub for the Nakamoto vote, facilitating engagement and providing a transparent window into the community's consensus. By combining strategic design with reliable engineering, I helped ensure a successful and well-informed governance milestone.
